Incline my heart...
I wanted to share a phrase that occurs in Psalm 119:36 and 119:112:
36 Incline my heart to your testimonies and not to selfish gain.
And again,
112 Incline my heart to perform your statutes forever, to the end.
Incline - that is to be bent toward. In The Message version, Eugene Peterson translated it as 'grant me an appetite.'
The Psalmist is praying that God would grant a desire to be obedient and that the Lord would turn the heart toward doing God's will.
May that be our prayer today as well, "Lord, enable us to be leaning toward your righteous commands every day!"
