Twenty

It was 20 years ago that I changed careers from information technology in Nashville, Tennessee, and moved with my family back to the Northwest to start a full-time ministry of starting churches in the Seattle suburbs.

Wow.

Twenty.

Much has changed in 20 years. Just think about all that's happened in the last 2 decades in technology, politics, global awareness, and even the fabric of modern society. There are challenges, no doubt, but, moving forward, I believe God is still working out His perfect will for His church and for the world.

What is ahead for me and the church as a whole? Well, in the words of people smarter than me, I believe it involves long obedience in the same direction!

As long as God has us here, let us be about His good kingdom work for both now and not yet. Let's take a cue this early in January 2024 from the writer of Hebrews 12:1-2:

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely and run with endurance the race set out for us, 2 keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of our faith.
The New English Translation

Blessings and happy 2024 to you!
